About Objects

Objects is a shared world where anyone can build anything, anywhere.

Open the map, find a place, and start building.

Make a house on your street. Put a giant statue in the Sahara. Rebuild a landmark. Cover an island with castles. Start a city with your friends.

You can build in one place or a thousand.

Everything you publish becomes part of the same world.

The world is the canvas

Objects takes place on a map of Earth.

You can go almost anywhere, build there, and see what other people have left behind.

Some places might become dense cities of creations. Other parts of the world might have one strange object sitting alone for hundreds of kilometers.

The map changes every time somebody builds something.

Build however you want

Start with an empty space and make something yourself.

Or describe an idea and use AI to help turn it into something you can place in the world.

Build something small in a few minutes or keep adding to a place for weeks.

When you publish it, anybody exploring that part of the world can find it.

Why Objects exists

Years ago, Build with Chrome showed how fun it could be to attach digital creations to real places on Earth.

Objects is inspired by that idea.

We wanted to see what that concept could become today, with a persistent shared world, modern building tools, and a map that can keep growing.

Objects is an independent project and is not affiliated with Google, Chrome, or LEGO.

An empty world

At the beginning, most of Objects is empty.

That is part of the fun.

There are continents, cities, islands, mountains, deserts, roads, and enormous stretches of nothing waiting for somebody to put something there.

There is no prescribed way the world should develop.

Someone might recreate downtown Tokyo.

Someone else might build a McDonald's at the North Pole.

A group might take over an island.

One person might spend months building a huge structure in the middle of nowhere.

You can go anywhere.

You can build as much as you want.

Leave something behind

The internet usually gives you a feed.

Objects gives you a place.

Build something and put it somewhere on Earth.

Then see what everyone else does with the world.
